The Henley Brook is proud to work alongside such a worthy cause as HorsePower.
HorsePower Australia, formerly known as Riding for the Disabled Association of Western Australia (RDAWA) is a registered voluntary, charitable not-for-profit organisation. Collating resources to provide unique opportunities to those with disabilities is their focus, empowering these individuals to break through physical, cognitive and emotional barriers using the power of the horse.
With 14 member centres throughout the state, HorsePower currently enriches the lives of over 500 people annually utilising a variety of programs; riding, carriage driving, vaulting, Hippotherapy and walking with horses. Having provided these unique life-changing activities for over 45 years, the organisation affiliates itself with the global movement, the Federation of Horses in Education and Therapy International (HETI). Key to the success of this operation is the mass support of volunteering (96% of staff), donations and sponsorship from WA’s broad community.
